Consulting and UX direction on facets of driver experiences. These range from more experimental HUD UIs to the center stack, into more traditional infotainment systems. Much of my time has been invested in new angles to driver distraction, including leveraging AI, facial recognition and biometrics.

The Tesla project came from a connection at ERL. Tesla was in the throes of the Model S interior design / driver experience work, and they were struggling with the massive 17″ screen, specifically balancing with driver distraction. I was asked to quietly evaluate and provide guidance. To be honest, I’m not a fan of the screen or the experience it delivers – but I did enjoy the opportunity.

The ERL AR shot isn’t actual, but it’s close to what we were working on. Frankly, a ridiculous amount of visual noise for a driver, but again – an excellent experiment.
